Djurgarden, Norrmalm and the Royal Opera House

Djargarden is a royal island a short ferry ride from Gamla Stan. On several occasions we visited Djurgarden, strolling through its parks and along the harbor front. Djurgarden is also home to the Skansen open air museum and the Vasa Museum, which you can explore in separate photo galleries. To the northwest of the island is Norrmalm, the district where we stayed during our visit to Stockholm. The area is also home to the Royal Opera House, where we saw a performance of La Boheme.
