Amed and the Santai Hotel

We spent three nights at the beautiful Santai Hotel outside the village of Amed, along Bali's far northeast coast (see map). Amed is building a reputation as a resort area for people who don't like the touristy resorts along the southern Bukit Peninsula. It's a wonderfully mellow place to kick back for a few days, go snorkeling, have a massage and drink cocktails by the pool.
