KIDLINK Chats as a Distance Learning Tool

These same students have engaged also in distance education projects by way of the Internet. When three explorers recently arrived at the North Pole to conduct research for the Arctic Drift Project, they exchanged their data and observations with the class by way of email, chat and video conferencing. In a different project the students followed the adventures of South Carolinan astronauts who piloted several shuttle missions this past year. Rosewood teacher Jamie Wilkerson went down to Cape Canaveral to relay questions and data back and forth between the sites.
