Holaway's Apple II Solution

At Holaway Elementary School in Tucson, Arizona's Ampitheatre School District, teachers are using educational software packages on Apple IIGS's to excite and inform their students about state history and geography. One such package, Arizona Mix, is an Southwest adventure in which the students are challenged to rediscover a lost mine. In order to track down the mine's location, a collaborating group of students must pick up a variety of "clues." Clues appear at important places in Arizonan history and geography, so the students explore the context of each site as they hunt for the next link. The group also must "interview" experts along the way - real people who have been programmed into the software to offer hints and suggestions to the search.
