A Traditional stick dance in Bhaktapur

As we left Bhaktapur, our taxi became snarled in traffic caused by a procession of children engaged in a traditional Newari stick dance. The children, all dressed in elaborate red costumes, line up in parallel rows and engage in choreographed swordfight of sorts, as musicians and hordes of proud parents follow behind them.
