A Photo Gallery and Travelogue by Andy Carvin |
This website is a virtual tour of my July 2004 visit to Mauritius. A beautiful, small island in the Indian Ocean off the southeast coast of Africa, Mauritius is a land of cultural contrasts. The island is a melting pot of Indian, French, African Creole and Chinese immigrants, creating one of the most unique and fascinating cultures in the world.Through this website, you'll be able to explore some of the most beautiful places in Mauritius, as well as see a glimpse of its culture and people. Along with the diary I kept during my visit to Mauritius, you can also see photos, videos, and panoramic Quicktime VR files. I hope you enjoy your virtual visit to Mauritius!
