The Mosque of Shah Jehan

Most people who visit the Taj Mahal for the first time are surprised to see that the Taj Mahal complex is more than just a great marble mausoleum. Surrounding the mausoleum are gardens, mosques, giant gates and paths that radiate in all directions. For example, just to the left of the Taj is the Mosque of Shah Jehan, a great red sandstone building that is practically as large and magnificent as the Taj itself. But because it's far enough out of sight from tourists' camera lenses when they get a shot of the Taj, it's unfortunately easy to overlook the mosque's existence without an actual visit.
